Clean Calgary Association

Volunteering with Clean Calgary

In 2007 Clean Calgary volunteers contributed 1088 hours to the Association. Volunteers’ contributions included but were not limited to representing Clean Calgary at events, administrative assistance, setting up the CCA library, support in the EcoStore and with the Waste Wise project, IT support and compiling information for the website and newsletter. It is the generous efforts of volunteers that have enabled us to inform and encourage numerous Calgarians to join us in striving for Zero Waste and protecting our water supply.

Clean Calgary is focused on empowering Calgarians to compost and recycle to their fullest potential. Calgarians have an enormous opportunity to ensure that organics (yard waste & kitchen scraps) and our precious resources (recyclables) don’t end up in Calgary landfills. We need your help to take our message out to Calgarians!

The amazing benefits of volunteering with Clean Calgary Association:

  • Make a difference. Encourage Calgarians to live sustainably.
  • Environmental stewardship.
  • Develop your knowledge and skills and share these with others.
  • Meet community members with similar interests and values.
  • Have a great time!
